"This place was amazing, and perfect couples getaway. The house was spotless and had everything you needed from extra blankets to all the seasonings you could think of. The list of recommendations was perfect. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful in any way they could be. I would highly recommend!!" - Kayauna, December 2025
"The cabin was amazing! It was so quiet and peaceful, but still conveniently located near Acadia. It was the perfect home base to explore Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia. It was so comfortable for the two of us, and the local jam and honey was such a nice touch. Highly recommend and I hope to be able to return sometime!" - Leah, October 2025
"Absolutely loved my stay at Sean & Carra's quintessential a-frame cottage! We felt right at home the moment we walked in. It's tucked away just enough to feel private and peaceful, but still close to everything Acadia has to offer! The cottage is cozy, beautifully kept, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Starting our mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee was my favorite - would highly recommend staying here! Can't wait to come back one day." - Natalie, October 2025
"Poet's Cabin was such a wonderful stay! It was the perfect couples weekend getaway, great distance from everything and perfect to come back to a cute and chill place at the end of a long day exploring! Absolutely recommend. Sean and Carra were so responsive and made our stay worry free!" - Tasia, January 2025
"Poet's Cabin was a wonderful stay on the Quietside of Acadia. We are picky about clean homes and this one met and exceeded our standards. The cabin is cozy but well appointed. Super comfortable bed, all we needed to cook all of our meals, and great communication before and during our stay. We loved it here and Sean and Carra were A+ hosts." - Jonathan, August 2024
"Sean & Carra's cabin was as cute in person as I imagined! The location was great for exploring Acadia while being outside of all of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The space itself is so quaint and charming, and Sean and Carra were extremely responsive to messages! We would definitely stay here again in the future. If you find this place available, don't think, just book it! You won't be disappointed!" - Kristin, September 2024
"This cabin is AMAZING! Wonderful location and a cozy spot, wonderful amenities and great hosts with awesome local recommendations. Mount Desert Island is a magical place, and this cabin made it even more magical." - Lauren, May 2022
"We loved our stay at the Poet’s Cabin. Check in was convenient and easy. We were welcomed with cute, local honey & jam. I especially appreciated the high quality hand soaps, provided spices & nice cookware. Not all of our stays have the charming and homey touches like this one does. 30 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor, endless trails nearby! Highly recommend staying at Sean and Carra’s." Samantha, May 2022
"This is such a cute little spot and so conveniently located! Private enough to feel like you are accomplishing that nourishment in nature while still close enough to the road to scoot out and about easily! The details in this cabin are delightful as well. This goes on the favorites list for another visit." - Jacinda, March 2022
"What a beautiful spot! Poets Cabin is a comfortable, quaint spot in the midst of the majestic Acadia National Park. The cabin is fully equipped with all that one needs to have an at home feel. Plus, the wonderful poetry strewn throughout the home teleports you into the serenity of your surrounding. Thank you Carra and Sean. We had a great time." - Monica, March 2022
"Adorable little cabin just outside of Acadia National Park - a fabulous find! The name truly captures the cabin's essence: the location and decor make you want to put pen to paper! The town of Southwest Harbor has many amenities for a winter stay. We were fortunate to have blue skies and sunshine every day, giving us many options for hiking. Sean and Carra are kind and warm hosts; you'll have everything you need to enjoy each moment of your stay!" - Kristen, March 2022
These folks know how to Air BnB! One of my favorite places I’ve stayed in. My boyfriend and I were just looking for a simple off-season/Winter Acadia cabin stay and we got just that. We just came up from Portland for our getaway, and this truly felt like a little home away from home! It was charming, clean, cozy and comfortable (the BED! Oh my gosh. I slept so well), and the small but significant touches made this absolutely perfect for us. This would be perfect for a couple during any season! Highly highly recommend. Thank you, Sean & Carra! We hope to be back during Summer or Fall sometime in the future!"- Hannah, January 2022
"The online representation is good, but the actual cabin is even better! The equipment exceeded our expectations from other Airbnbs by far, the interior is really charming and comfy, and it was super clean. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and there is not a single noise at night. Perfect for star-gazing. Would come back any time." - Joscha, January 2022
"Adorable Cabin. It was immaculate, warm and welcoming. communication with Sean and Carra was above and beyond our expectations. The amenities they provide were perfect. Both mornings we woke up to deer right outside the back door, it felt like you were in the middle of the woods yet minutes to anything you need in town. You definitely get more than what you pay for my husband and I were so lucky to have such a wonderful place to rest up in after hiking and exploring all day!" - Amanda, November 2021
